I do actually read a lot of graphic novels so in the last month I've been reading more novels then graphic novels but yes. Um I haven't read this one I only skimmed threw it while I was in the School's book room. I read a lot of graphic novels mainly because I translate them from Japanese to English as part of homework for my Japanese Class I take.

Heather, thanks for the link to your post on graphic novels! It was very helpful to a beginner like me. :-) I just added Girls for Breakfast to my rec box at the right. Thanks!

Sadako, thanks for the rec! I luuurved the movie Ghost World, so I bet that would be a great way for me to "ease" into the world of graphic novels! I'll add that title to the rec box on the right side. :-)

Here is a post that I did last week to a question about how to "break into" graphic novels.

That being said, if you like the idea of a story about an Asian guy who's the only Asian in his school, I oh-so-heartily recommend Girls for Breakfast by David Yoo. You can read my review right here.

I know what you mean about getting used to a specific medium. I tried to read a lot of anime graphic novels but I never really got into them. I don't know...I guess I'm sort of a tradionalist at heart.

The graphic novel that I do really love is Ghost World by Daniel Clowes. It inspired the movie, and both are very good. I'll give this one a try...I like graphic novels that are about more random things. Stuff not anime or fantasy-y really, but more about just stuff that fiction might be about. And the look of this one is really nice. Cute cover and so forth.
