Meg, I would definitely be curious to see what you think of it. Maybe I am in a reading slump that makes me a grouch with everything I read!

Patti, the fact that you loved it is giving me second thoughts! I'm starting to think I'm in a bit of a reading slump. I've read a few things that others have liked but I haven't connected with the MCs. What's the best way to get rid of a reading slump?

I bought this one for my younger sister years ago, but I don't think she ever got around to reading it! I trust your opinion and think I'd probably fall somewhere near your reaction to the book, but I'll see if I can find her copy and give it a go sometime, too! I know a lot of folks like Mackler.

Definitely do another spreadsheet! I read this a long time ago, but remember loving it. Can't remember too much about it other than that. I do seem to think it was my favorite of any of the books I have read by that author.

I agree with you. I really *wanted* to like that book -- and I thought the date rape subplot was daring -- but it just didn't quite work for me.
