So I've played soccer since I was 5. Freshman year, I've decided to try
field hockey. I would rather play soccer, but it's too late. For my
sophomore year, could I switch back? Or would it be too late and i would
be behind and stuff ?

I just finished this one. I did wind up enjoying it, but Tasha grated on me for the first few chapters that she narrated. I fell in love with Emily though.

Jodie, yeah, I know. Maybe I didn't pick the most representative quote because it's not like she says that sort of stuff all the time. But I guess that quote did stick out to me for the “voice” I wasn't connecting with, as well as the content of what the character was saying.

I had some problems with this as well. Not every book works for every reader. There were too many things, like the “butch” description, that made me uncomfortable. Keep this in mind when you are writing. Not everything you are thinking needs to go down on the paper!
