hi sorry to hear about your bird but the other one will do fine
because its mate is gone it will become more close to you he wont
die of sadness or depression it is only a myth he will be happy if u
treat him right and give him some attention..

Vasilly, I'm embarrassed to say I've never read ANY of her fiction. Oops. I liked Operating Instructions. I should give some of her fiction a try though. Did you have a novel by her you liked more than others?

Bird by Bird is definitely one of my fave writing books. I also like Stephen King's On Writing and Annie Dillard's The Writing Life.

Bird by Bird is definitely one of my favorite writing advice books. I swore that I'll re-read it again this year. Have you read anything else by Lamott? I've found that I love her non-fiction more than her fiction. Did you know she had another book coming out in a few months?
